Terms and Conditions - Storage Haringey
Welcome to Storage Haringey. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our storage facilities and services. By renting a storage unit with us, you agree to abide by the following terms. Please read them carefully to ensure a smooth and secure storage experience.
1. Definitions
- Employer: Refers to Storage Haringey, the provider of storage services.
- Customer: Any individual or entity renting a storage unit from Storage Haringey.
- Storage Unit: The designated space rented by the customer for storing their belongings.
2. Rental Agreement
By entering into a rental agreement with Storage Haringey, the Customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during the rental process.
- Adhere to the payment schedule as outlined in the agreement.
- Use the storage unit solely for lawful purposes and within the space limits of the agreed unit.
2.1. Duration of Lease
The rental period begins on the date specified in the agreement and continues on a month-to-month basis unless terminated by either party with a 30-day written notice.
2.2. Payment Terms
Customers are required to pay the storage fees on a monthly basis, in advance. Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or direct debit. Late payments may incur additional fees as specified in the agreement.
3. Security and Access
Storage Haringey is committed to ensuring the security of your belongings. To achieve this:
- All storage units are equipped with secure locks. Customers are responsible for providing and maintaining their own lock.
- Access to the storage facility is available 24/7, subject to compliance with our security protocols.
- CCTV surveillance is in operation throughout the premises to monitor and record activities for safety purposes.
3.1. Insurance
Customers are advised to obtain appropriate insurance coverage for their stored items. Storage Haringey does not assume responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to stored property unless caused by negligence on our part.
4. Prohibited Items
For safety and legal reasons, the following items are strictly prohibited from being stored at Storage Haringey:
- Hazardous materials, including flammable, explosive, or toxic substances.
- Perishable goods such as food or plants.
- Illegal items, including stolen property or items subject to legal restrictions.
- Weapons, including firearms and ammunition.
Storing prohibited items may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and possible legal action.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are expected to:
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of their storage unit.
- Ensure that stored items do not pose a safety hazard.
- Inform Storage Haringey promptly of any unauthorized access or security breaches.
- Adhere to all facility rules and regulations as communicated.
5.1. Alterations to Storage Unit
Customers may not make any structural alterations or modifications to the storage unit without prior written consent from Storage Haringey.
6. Termination of Agreement
Either party may terminate the rental agreement by providing a minimum of 30 days' written notice. Upon termination:
- The customer must remove all stored items from the storage unit.
- Failure to vacate the unit may result in additional fees or legal action.
- Security deposits, if applicable, will be returned after deducting any outstanding charges or costs for damages.
6.1. Immediate Termination
Storage Haringey reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement immediately under the following circumstances:
- Non-payment of rental fees exceeding 60 days.
- Violation of the terms and conditions, including storing prohibited items.
- Engagement in illegal activities on the premises.
7. Liability
While Storage Haringey employs various security measures to protect stored items, we cannot be held liable for any loss, damage, or theft. Customers are strongly encouraged to secure their belongings with personal locks and appropriate insurance.
7.1. Force Majeure
Storage Haringey is not liable for any delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, or other force majeure events.
8. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a disagreement or dispute arising from these terms, both parties agree to seek an amicable resolution through negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may be referred to mediation or legal arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Storage Haringey operates. Any legal actions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
10. Amendments
Storage Haringey reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of our storage services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, such invalidity will not render the entire agreement unenforceable. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
12. Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Storage Haringey regarding the use of our storage services, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.
